Scripture that I am so thankful for...

Luke 4:16-21
"And He (Jesus) came to Nazereth, where He had been brought up; and as was His custom, He entered the synagogue on the Sabbath, and stood up to read. And the book of the prophet Isaiah was handed to Him. And He opened the book and found the place where it was written,
"The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, because He anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor, He has sent Me to proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those who are oppressed, to proclaim the favorable year of the LORD."
And He closed the book, gave it back to the attendant and sat down; and the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on Him. And He began to say to them, "Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing."

Thank you Jesus that you not only came to bring us eternal life, but an abundant and free life here on earth!

Diaper days of summer

For some reason Nate loves this vest.
Atleast once a day he goes to his closet
and gets it down and insists on putting
it on. He then heads straight to our room
to look in the mirror as he is doing in this picture.
(Reminds me of his cousin Logan)

Getting into a little mischief with the wipes...

We have had this toy for some time now
but I've just noticed him playing with it
lately. Its funny how they show no interest
one day and the next its their favorite toy.

Fun at the lake

This summer we have spent a number of evenings out at Lake DeSmet. It has proven to be a fun thing that we can do together as a family. Nate has become a little more confident with the water but his all time favorite activity is throwing rocks into the water. He also notices every bird that flies by and every boat as well. I took these pictures the other night while we were out.

Nate and his Uncle Eric

This picture is for Eric, who was wondering why he didn't make it on my
blog after his visit a few weeks ago. :)
I think Nate had him read just about every book he owns.
It was sweet to watch them interact together.

A day with Grandma

Nate and I spent the day with my Grandma in Casper last week. It was so wonderful to spend some time with her. We just dont get down there as often as I'd like. Grandma did a good job spoiling Nate. She had a fun day planned which included the park, ice cream, and stories. It was a special time.

The simple joys in life...

Nate's first haircut

Nate had his first haircut today! He did such a good job. He shed a few tears at first when we tried to have him sit in the chair by himself and then a few more each time she used the spray bottle but other than that he was ok. There were a few other kids in there at the same time so it was a good distraction for him...the sucker helped too. He looks so grown up now!
